Parkland Middle School, formerly Parkland Junior High School, opened August 1969. It was formerly dedicated on November 10, 1969 on an Open House Night. The school originally had only sixteen teachers and consisted of the front office, the cafeteria and only one hallway. Currently, we have forty four teachers and our building consist of the front office, the cafeteria, the 100 hall, the 200 hall, the 300 hall, the science wing, the fine arts wing which was dedicated on October 2, 2003 and now the new addition of the gym and new cafeteria.

Our mission as a member of the Parkland Area Community is to encourage and challenge each and every one of our students to reach their full potential. We provide a well-balanced curriculum through creative and innovative instructional strategies based on best practices that will meet the needs of all learners.
