Hi, my name is Mack Cador. This is my second year to teach Speech Applications at Del Valle High School. Let me leave my class syllabus with you. A syllabus is an outline of the lessons I teach in the speech course.

All the students in my classes are to learn

and do the five types of speeches.

1. A manuscript speech --- a speech you write and you read

2. An extemporaneous informative speech --- an informative speech that is prepared in a short amount of time

3. An extemporaneous persuasive speech --- a persuasive speech that is prepared in a short amount of time

4. An impromptu speech --- a speech that does not have any preparation time

5. A symposium speech --- are group speeches
