Welcome to our class. My name is Hector Olivas. I am beginning my 9th year of teaching here at Ramona Elementary. I'm excited to have your child in my class this year and we are looking forward to a great year of learning. Our room number is 158 and we are located next to the teachers lounge. My classroom phone number is 434-7758 and I am also available during my conference period from 8:20-9:05. I am also available after school.Our daily class schedule is as follows:

 

 

 

7:35               Pick up students at gym.

 

7:40-7:45           Morning announcements.

 

7:45-8:20         Silent Sustained Reading.

 

8:20-9:05           P.E.

 

9:05-10:30         Language Arts.

 

10:30-12:05     Math

 

12:05-12:35     Lunch 

 

12:35-2:35         Science.

 

2:35-2:45       Clean up classroom and pass out homework.

 

2:45               Dismiss.

 

 

 

 

Homework: Homework is given daily including weekends and must be turned in on the following school day. Homework will not be given during holiday weekends and holidays.

 

 

 

Progress Reports:  Progress reports go out every three weeks and report cards go out every nine weeks. Please feel free to call me if you have any concerns about your childs progress at school due to grades or any other concerns you may have.
