As a native El Pasoan I graduated from Burges High School, earned a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Texas at El Paso in Microbiology and then I attained a Masters from Purdue. I studied Biochemistry and Molecular Biology for fours years at Purdue in West Lafayette, Indiana, writing a thesis to complete my degree. Within that time frame I had decided to come back to El Paso and teach.
