I spent time in the Army and did two tours in Viet Nam. Two years after returning to the states I joined the police department where I spent thirty years. During my tenure there I was awarded Officer of the Year In the State in 1999.
I went back to school to obtain a teaching certification to start teaching after I retired. I retired in 2002 and started teaching at Del Valle H.S. that same year.  My class deals with the law and how it applies to criminals and citizens alike. My lessons for the year of 09-10 will be very compprehensive lessons for both juniors and seniors.

Courses

My courses consist of Criminal Investigations which deals with various forms of criminal investigations  from a simple theft to criminal homicides which calls for investigative techniques of crime solving.

Fundimentals of Criminal Law deals with a basic understanding of the functions of the law and law enforcement operations and policies.

Emergency Telecomminucations/9-11 services open to seniors only. Students will learn how to become a dispatcher utilized for Police, Fire, EMS services and 911 call takers. Aside from the classroom study students will practice on a computer dispatch system used in the job enviroment. With the completion of the course and the scoring of the test, seniors will recieve a two yerar certification from the National Dispatch Academy providing they have a score of 80%.  Tests are submitted to the National Dispatch Academy with the students $15.00 fee  for scoring. With the certification this will allow the student upon graduation to apply for employment in the above field.
