Greetings and welcome to my website. I hope you will find the information useful and informative. My number one goal is to provide my students with meaningful learning experiences that will ensure their success here at Del Valle, on the job, or in post secondary education endeavors.
My philosophy of education is that every child is capable of learning and that learning occurs when the child is freed of the fear of failure, motivated by focusing on their interests, and know that they will succeed. Additionally, I evaluate my students by placing a 90% value of their grade; on their attitude towards an assignment, the amount of effort they put forward on that assignment, and meeting the required due date. I place a 10% value of their grade on the students ability to master the assignment according to the TEKS. This 90-10 percent grading scale shows students that effort and attitude are very important in everything they do and if they just try hard enough at anything they can succeed. |
Effective immediately my tutoring hours will be 3:45 until 4:30 daily in portable 14. Additionally, I am available in the mornings in Portable 14 from 8:00 until 8:30. Students who fail to complete daily assignments will be required to attend after school tutoring the very next day after the assignment deadline is missed. Tutoring is available to both resource and inclusion students.
Parents my conference hours are A days second period 10:00 until 11:20 and B days twelveth period 2:20 until 3:56. You are encouraged to call me during these times for information about your child. |
