Miguel Tarango, Cougar After School Program Coordinator It is also known as Project STEP,is responsible for providing a safe haven after school and is a socially responsible program that brings about positive cultural change specifically toward higher education through raising academic scores and improve classroom participation. In addition, 21st Century Community Learning Centers programs provide technology education programs, art, music and recreation programs, and adult literacy components to include GED preparation classes and English as a Second Language. In the month of June, the program has a Space Camp for junior astronauts to explore our universe and math science and technology.
