Firefox Themes
You can modify your Firefox browser so that it has a theme. By customizing the look and feel of your browser, you are able to ensure it is functional and the most appropriate for your needs. And, as a plus, students love the themes and it will help keep them focused on the projected material. To change your themes, follow these steps:
- Click on Tools.
- Click on Add-Ons.
- A new window will open. Click on the "Themes" tab at the top of the new window.
- Click on "Get Themes" in the lower right corner of the new window.
- A new window will open.
- You may search for themes by category, most popular, recent additions, or by typing in keywords. For this example, type in "cats" without the quotations in the search field at the top of the window.
- All of the themes that are related to cats are shown. For our example, click on the blue letters "Red Cats (green flavor)." A new window will open.
- Click the green "Install Now" button.
- A small window will open showing you the theme you are installing. Click "Install." The theme will install. You will see that you now have 3 tabs in the window: Extensions, Themes, Installation.
- Click on the "Themes" tab.
- The downloaded themes will be shown. Highlight the theme you wish to use. Click on "Use Theme."
- Click on the "Installation" tab.
- Click on "Restart Firefox."
- When Firefox restarts, your new theme will be active.
- To choose another downloaded theme, follow steps #1-3 and #11 above.
- To delete a theme, follow steps #1-3 above, highlight the theme you want to delete, and click on "Uninstall."
- Restart Firefox and theme will be removed.
