In order to create your message, you'll want to write a script. Remember to consider your audience when writing. Your script should be between 30 seconds and 2 minutes in length when read. Use your judgement or time yourself to see if the timing is correct.
Not sure about what to include in your script? The choice is up to you but here are a few ideas:
- your name
- contact information
- website information
- the grade(s) or subject(s) that you teach
- welcome statement
- student expectations
- resources available if help is needed
You do not need to be very formal when writing your script. The best advice is to just be yourself.
Once you have written your script, continue on to part two.
