THE MAJORITY OF THE WORK DONE IN WRITING CLASS SHOULD BE FINISHED DURING CLASS TIME. HOWEVER, IF YOUR CHILD DOES NOT FINISH THAT DAY'S WORK, HE/SHE MAY HAVE ADDITIONAL HOMEWORK. STUDENTS ARE INFORMED OF DUE DATES FOR WRITING DRAFTS AND PUBLISHED PIECES IN ADVANCE, WITH PLENTY OF TIME TO COMPLETE THEM. THERE SHOULD BE NO REASON WHY AN ASSIGNMENT IS NOT TURNED IN AND COMPLETED ON TIME.

Blogs have been set up for all 6th grade students through the internet. Every week your child will be responsible for posting at least 3 blogs. The blog assignment is as follows. Complete one of the following: one post on your page and two comments to two different posts on Ms. Ward's page OR publish two posts on your page and one comment to Ms. Ward. If you would like a printed out copy of the weekly blog expectations, please let me know.


In order to get to the student blogs, go to http://edgemereroadrunners.com or click the quick link on my "links" page and select the student's name whose blog you wish to view/comment on. Students get to my blog through my website. There is a button on the left of my home page that sends them directly to my blog page.
