The District will provide a high level of academic performance and achievement resulting in College Readiness and Service Learning with:
-
all seniors to pass the TAKS at the commended level
-
all students who want to attend college to be prepared to enter college without remediation
-
all students who choose to go into the workforce
- to have a saleable skill.

In the area of Career and Technology, the District will:
- develop a comprehensive Career and Technology (CATE) plan to approve by December 15, 2008
- implement a comprehensive Career and Technology (CATE) plan by August 1, 2009
- have the magnet programs implemented in all high schools by December 2008.

Develop a five year and a ten year strategic plan for the District.

Every graduate of Ysleta ISD:
- will have accumulated at least 20 hours a year of volunteer service to the community during high school, beginning with the graduates of 2010, but to be encouraged for the 2009 graduates
- will have the opportunity to participate in an internship or mentoring program.

All 8th graders will be prepared to enter high school with commended scores in the core curriculum areas and participate in a transition to high school program.

Increase revenue to the general fund of the District by:
- establishing a second YISD Foundation that will create a plan for alternative funding of $25,000 to the general revenue of the District
- increasing ADA
- increasing membership.
