All YISD personnel will integrate current technology, electronic resources, tools and methods ethically and effectively to ensure that all students achieve the superior technology enriched education necessary to succeed in our global society.

Mission

The Instructional Technology department will positively impact student
achievement by providing tools, curriculum support and integration strategies.
This will be accomplished by providing collaborative professional development and customized instructional technology support.

Major Goals

• Curriculum Support & Integration
  -Provide and promote the seamless integration of Technology Application TEKS (TA TEKS) with content TEKS Professional Development
  -Provide and promote face-to-face and on-line professional development with a focus on technology integration & content TEKS
  -Build capacity within campuses and departments to ensure full use and understanding of available resources and tools
• Hardware & Resources
  -Provide up-to-date tools and instructional support to facilitate technology integration
  -Continually evaluate and update educational resources
  -Provide and promote a variety of instructional resources (print & on-line)
• Customized Technology Integration Services
  -Guide campuses in developing a systemic technology plan through personalized support
  -Provide and promote personalized services and instructional support to campuses and departments
• Streamlined Services
  -Collaborate with departments, teams and divisions to streamline processes and operations thereby avoiding duplication of services

  -Continue seeking external funding opportunities
