Attendance and Tardies

Tardies:  1st--Conference with teacher

2nd--Parent Contact

3rd--Administrative intervention (Sat. School)

4th and subsequent--Administrative discipline

Attendance:  Unexcused absences will result in administrative discipline.  Habitual absences will be addressed by the school attendance committee.

Late Work

Absence related.  Daily assignments missed due to EXCUSED absences will be turned in one day after return to school.  Quizzes and tests missed will be made up on the day of return, or the NEXT school day in the morning or at lunch.  Long-term assignments and projects which were assigned when the student was present will be turned in ON THE DUE DATE, whether or NOT the student is present that day.  If an emergency arises, documentation (a note of explanation) from parent or doctor will be necessary before the work will be accepted. 

Tutoring and Academic Assistance

I will be available to tutor and assist struggling students Monday through Thursday from 7:45 to 8:30 AM.  I will also be available during lunch if you make arrangements ahead of time.

PROCEDURE:

1. Check with me to be sure I don't have a meeting or won't be absent for golf the day before.  (You can email me the evening before by 10 PM to be sure) 

2. When you come in, there is a folder on top of the metal drawers on your right labeled "Tutoring/Makeup LOG" 

3. Sign in with the time, your name, and what you need help with or to work on.

4. Make sure you know what you are coming in for, specifically.  It is YOUR responsibility to know what you missed or are struggling with.  I have well over 100 students to worry about; you only have ONE.
